Art Haus Chair
Katrina Plato teaches as adjunct faculty at Appalachian State University (ASU) in art education, and is a registered art therapist, and certified expressive arts therapist. Passionate about teaching and research, she holds an Ed. D from ASU, and a PhD in expressive arts from the European Graduate School. In the classroom and her personal practice she explores one’s relationship with materials, encouraging a daily practice that nurtures and sustains well-being. Katrina is also the present chair of Art Haus, a residential learning community of over 30 inspired first year students interested in exploring the arts together.
