Kellie Doran defends her Honors thesis

Art history major Kellie Doran has successfully defended her honors thesis, “Identity in Cultural Appropriation: Native American Representations in Outsider Art.” For her thesis, Kellie did primary source research and wrote case studies on Theodore de Bry, Albert Bierstadt, and Edward S. Curtis: all artists of European descent who produced constructed images of Native Americans. Her thesis will be available for viewing on the NC Docks digital archive. Congratulations, Kellie!
